Water Parks In Cyprus

There are three Water Parks in Cyprus - ‘Water World’ in Ayia Napa, ‘Watermania’ in Phassouri, (west of Limassol), and Aphrodite Water Park in Paphos.

Water World lies two kilometres outside Ayia Napa and is one of the biggest themed water parks in the world - over 80,000 square metres in size and has won 22 international awards from such bodies as WWA (World Water Parks Association) and IAAPA (International Association for Amusement Parks and Attractions).It has as its theme Greek Mythology and the theme is carried in the styling and name of the attractions. Water World certainly has some gentle attraction but those who like thrills there is the ‘Fall of Icaras’, a slide that shoots you upwards, before you fall back to earth towards a plunge pool,. The ‘Drop to Atlantis’ is a 20 metre high slide complete with audio and visual effects and others include Apollo’s Plunge, River Odyssey and more. For children, the ‘Pegasus Pool’ has floats, toys and tipping buckets.

Fasouri Watermania, is situated just 15 minutes from Limassol town and 10 - 15 minutes from the Limassol - Paphos highway, and can also be reached by bus (No 19 or private ones that visit each hotel) This is the biggest water park in Cyprus as it covers more than 100,000 square metres. It has a Polynesian theme and the park is surrounded by citrus groves. ‘Watermania’ boasts all kinds of attractions including a Kamikaze slide and the Lazy River. It can also lay claim to having one of the biggest wave pools in Europe. ‘Watermania’ has a children’s pool with toys and floats and an adult pool.

Aphrodite Water Park, is in Yeroskipou on the edge of Paphos and is within easy walking distance of many hotels, but catching either number 11 or 15 buses can get you there just as quickly!. This water park has Europe’s biggest family rafting ride and one of the largest selections of different slides with the Free Fall for those brave enough to take the 50 foot drop through water! 5 Lane Race provides an opportunity for friends and family members to race each other down a three dip slide in rubber rings, the Black Hole is a slide in darkness with a pool at the end and there are other pools and children’s activities including floats and novelty games, it even has a couple of more technical activities - Cross Over and Super Volcano.

All of the parks offer season tickets and provide snacks and drinks to enjoy whilst splashing around! The Water Parks have high standards of safety and qualified lifeguards supervise all the slides, whilst others walk around ‘keeping an eye’ on things.
